F1: The Movie‘s official page re-shared Tom Cruise’s post with a Top Gun twist. The team wrote, “Maverick and Sonny”. In the all-time hit Top Gun, Tom Cruise played the role of LT Pete Mitchell. His call name was –  Maverick. 

The Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise reunion has been making all the right noises. Let’s not forget it came weeks after Pitt, in an interview with E!, said that he would love to work with Tom Cruise again. 

The actor said, “Well, I’m not gonna hang my ass off airplanes and shit like that…So when he does something again that’s on the ground, [then yes].”

F1: The Movie has been directed by  Joseph Kosinski. The film has been backed by Jerry Bruckheimer. It also stars Javier Bardem and Damson Idris. 

In an interview with Sky Sports, Brad Pitt had said, “I’ve got to say it’s just great to be here. We’re just having such a laugh, such a laugh, time of my life. I would be a guy who raced in the 90s. He has a horrible crash and kind of cr**s out and disappears and then is racing in other disciplines. Then his friend, played by Javier Bardem, is the team owner. They’re the last place team, they’re 21, 22 on the grid, they’ve never scored a point and they have a young phenom played by Damson Idris and he brings me in as kind of a Hail Mary and hijinks ensure.”

Brad Pitt is gearing up for his upcoming sports drama F1, he recently opened up about his alcohol addiction phase. The actor revealed how he had joined Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), a recovery program that helped him cope with his alcohol addiction after his divorce with Angelina Jolie.

• Recently in a conversation with actor Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast, Brad Pitt spoke about how Alcoholics Anonymous played a crucial role in his recovery from addiction after his divorce.
• The 61-year-old spoke candidly about how the failure of his second marriage drove him to seek help and confront years of alcohol dependancy.
• Brad Pitt said, “I was pretty much on my knees. I needed to wake the f*** up in some areas. I was really open to it. I was trying anything anyone threw at me. It was a difficult time. I needed rebooting. It gives you permission to go, ‘OK, I’m gonna step out on this edge and see what happens’.”
• Furthermore, Brad Pitt spoke about attending the Alcoholics Anonymous meeting one and a half years after his failed marriage. He elaborated on how wholesome the experience was to see men come together and speak about their follies.
• Brad Pitt added, “I went on some New York Times interview and what an amazing thing this experience was for me. It was a men’s group, it was AA, it was when I first was getting sober. I just thought it was just incredible, men sharing their experiences, their foibles, their missteps, their wants, their aches, and a lot of humour with it.”
• He also shared that he was then rebuked for speaking so openly about the group, “And so I do this interview and I say this and I got admonished by someone of the higher up saying, it’s anonymous.”
• Brad Pitt concluded by saying that Alcoholics Anonymous helped him “revoke (his) drinking privileges”, and that it was “freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself”.

Filmmaker Denis Villeneuve will direct the next James Bond film from Amazon MGM Studios.

As announced earlier, Amy Pascal and David Heyman will serve as producers. Joining them is Tanya Lapointe as an executive producer.

“Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007. I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since ‘Dr. No’ with Sean Connery. I’m a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he’s sacred territory,” Villeneuve said.

He added that he intends to honour the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come, reported Variety.

“This is a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honour. Amy, David, and I are absolutely thrilled to bring him back to the screen. Thank you to Amazon MGM Studios for their trust.”

Mike Hopkins, head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, added, “We are honoured that Denis has agreed to direct James Bond’s next chapter. He is a cinematic master, whose filmography speaks for itself.”

A few days after Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey’s viral red carpet kiss, the actress opened up about how the internet reacted to it.

Squid Game Season 3 fans, we have exciting news in store for you. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has spilled the beans on the upcoming season. As he said, it will be “dark and bleak.”

Hwang Dong-hyuk told The Guardian, “The world, as I observe it, has less hope. I wanted to explore questions like, ‘What is the very last resort of humankind? And do we have the will to give future generations something better?’ After watching all three seasons, I hope we can each ask ourselves, ‘How much humanity do I have left in me?’

The Korean drama, which is known for its deadly twists and turns, will not see a “happy ending”, said the creator. 

“People like a happy ending. I’m like that too. But some stories, by nature, can’t have one. If you try to force one, the essence is compromised. If a story is holding up a mirror to something, then it’s not always a happy ending. Squid Game is no exception,” he added. 

Her company, Parkwood, later confirmed the incident in a statement posted to Instagram Stories. It read, “Tonight in Houston, at NRG Stadium, a technical mishap caused the flying car… to tilt. She was quickly lowered and no one was injured. The show continued without incident.”

The Houston stop of Beyonce’s “Cowboy Carter” tour took a tense turn on Saturday night when a technical issue caused her mid-air car prop to tilt dangerously during her performance, reported Variety.

According to the publication, while singing “16 Carriages” at the NRG Stadium, Beyonce was riding a flying car– a special prop she uses to get closer to fans — when it suddenly started tipping to one side. The crowd gasped and screamed as the car leaned further, raising concerns for the star’s safety. However, Beyonce was safely and quickly lowered to the ground. After she returned to the stage, the singer reassured fans with a smile, saying, “If I ever fall I know y’all would catch me.” The crowd responded with loud cheers and applause.

Production begins on The Devil Wears Prada 2. The film starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci went on floors on Monday. 

20th Century Studios confirmed the news in a post on X (formerly Twitter). In the caption, the production house wrote, “The Devil Wears Prada 2. Now in production.” 

The brief clip attached to the post featured two devilish red pumps while iconic dialogues by Meryl, Anne and Emily’s characters played in the background. Take a look:

The Devil Wears Prada film is based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, which drew from her personal experience as an assistant to Vogue’s former editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The story revolves around Andy Sachs, a young journalism graduate portrayed by Anne Hathaway. She lands a demanding role as assistant to the formidable Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, played by Meryl Streep. 

Emily Blunt portrays Miranda’s senior assistant, while Stanley Tucci slips into the skin of a fashion editor who helps Andy navigate the high-pressure world of fashion publishing. 

Plot details for the sequel haven’t been confirmed yet, but the storyline reportedly explores Miranda Priestly’s career amidst the modern media landscape. 

Actor and model Shefali Jariwala, who became a household name with the 2002 music video Kaanta Laga, died on Friday, June 27. She was 42. 

While the post-mortem report is still awaited, initial police findings and medical examination suggest a potential cardiac arrest, possibly triggered by a combination of fasting and unsupervised anti-ageing medication.

• Shefali Jariwala observed a day-long fast as part of a Satyanarayan puja held at her home in Mumbai.
• Despite fasting, Shefali consumed her regular anti-ageing medication and also administered a vial of glutathione injection. According to police, she was also taking multivitamins and collagen supplements aimed at maintaining youthful skin.
• Around 10.30 pm: Shefali collapsed at her residence. 
• At 11.15 pm: She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in Andheri West, where doctors declared her dead and advised the family to shift her body to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem procedures. “She was brought to the hospital around 11.15 pm (Friday). The on-duty doctor declared her dead on arrival,” a hospital source told NDTV.
• Around 11.30 pm: The Amboli Police Station was informed about the incident.
• By 11.45 pm: A police team reached Shefali’s residence and Cooper Hospital and began initial investigations.
